mlerulesWell, even though I've declined all three (3) social invites I rec'd for this evening, and chose to skip the trad'l Tuesday night Pagan Jug Band free show at Blue Monk as well, the fact remains that I'd somehow acquired invites to three different get-togethers tonight. This pleases me, even though saying "No" leaves me a bit poutiful.
Yeah, this whole deferred gratification thing bites. It'll be worth it if'n I get through it okay, which I need to channel into incentive to work even harder to ensure that I do indeed do so. *sigh*
Meanwhile, I have Dear Friends coming into town this weekend for what's apparently gonna be the First Annual Non-Inauguration Event. We'd arranged on Election Day to hang out together again on 20 January, as we did 4 years ago for the Pres'd'l Inaug which (usually) happens that date. 1annie1 has an early morning flight home. It'll be a fun weekend though. All the more reason to get more studying done 'tween now and then!
