1annie1 went amazingly well. For some reason traffic was far lighter than usual/expected, even though we left a bit before 2pm. Stopping for dinner at Harris Ranch (as per tradition) gave Bay Area traffic time to die down, too. Great conversation 'n' music helped the time pass so it felt like only a couple of hours rather than many.
Now I'm happily sitting in1annie1's room. It looks much the same as it did lo these many years ago when I first hung out here w/her. The posters on the wall include one I gave her for her 16th b-day over 30 years ago. Last night I enjoyed the lovely views of the city aka SF, the bay, the bridges, &c. A few hours ago, 'twas all completely fogged in, although now it's slowly burning off so parts of the bay're starting to reveal themselves although SF's still hidden.
Life is good. I'm thankful for much: good friends, fambily, health, lotsa independence. And now, to get on w/my day...
