Newsie News

On the Honey Train Again.

AND

I've been living up here in the PacNW for nearly two (2) years now (3/21/09'll be my 2nd anniverary). My standards of "typical/average/normal/usual" are still being set. This is the second year running of early Winter big/bad/major flooding in WA. [livejournal.com profile] delerium3 (also a PacNW newbie) and I hypothesized yesterday that the phrase "Hundred Year Flood" means that for the next/on-going century it'll flood annually.

EDIT: May you be/stay safe/dry/well, all you folks up yonder!

EDIT2: Article w/picture of flooded Hwy 5 up by Chehalis, WA.

New Business?

If the global warming keeps going I think I may start a rice paddy in Chehalis.

it's funny, but at one time I lived in the Chehalis area (around 1966 or so) and the roads flooded then. so, fast forward 40+ years, they are still doing it, nice to know that nothing has really changed, isn't it? It's almost like someone can stand on the bridge over the river, piss into the river, and it starts flooding....
