Beneath the Sky

Last Friday I enjoyed Jethro Tull at McM's Edgefield, having a fine time w/Dear Friends sitting on the lawn in the sun. Then I spent Saturday & Sunday in the company of more Dear Friends at Faerieworlds, camping and experiencing more good live music and performances outside. This evening I got to pop poeticlioness's live Shakespeare cherry by taking her out for A Midsommer Night Dream on Midsummer's Eve itself, beneath the stars up at Council Crest park outside downtown Portland. 'Twas marvelous, even w/the silliness of having the last 10 minutes or so lit up by cell phones & flashlights since the generator'd run outta fuel...hee!

Wait - which were you at (Jethro Tull or Midsummer's)? Didja have fun, too?

Mebbe try to make it to FW next year. I'll most likely return...for my 7th in a row.

Tull. We did both Cuthbert and Edgefield, but I got pix at Edgefield. I'd like to do FW, but timing was off for it both this year and last year.

Nice! Several of our group got there way early so snagged sweet spots on the rise just behind the pay-through-your-nose-and-sit-on-folding-chairs section. 'Twas an awesome show, even if'n somewhat crazed to have spent the morning driving down to FW, setting up camp, then zipping back up from Eugene for JTull, and cruising back down again on Saturday morning (in time to hear Chas de Lint & MaryAnn whassername) play Sat aft at FW.
