Today's qx: How do you think that your move away from working in the legal field influenced your ability to more readily accept and include different relationship styles such as polyamory into your continually evolving life?

ANSWER: I don't think it made the slightest bit of difference in accepting or including different r-ship styles in my life, although possibly if'n I were still doing attorney-stuff I might have to be more circumspect about how I live such as who I bring along to work/social events w/work people and who I invite home for dinner/whatever, as that could affect my professional life, depending on what I was doing, who the client base and office folks looked like and were comfortable with vis-a-vis alternative lifestyles.

Spring Cleaning

Rec'd the sweetest compliment today: the glue that holds a Dear Friend's world together = Postcards from Me. I really needed to hear this right now so'm quite thankful to hear this. Thankful really for so many wonderful people in my life who reach out to/for me and who I know're there for me were I to but ask. Of course I'd need to work on my grammar some first... Embracing the Dark - Candlelit Thoughts

Shadow dancing, shadow wrestling. Learning about myself by watching and accepting it all, w/out discouraging its emergence, by letting it out, looking at it, holding it in my hands as it writhes with bitterness and passion rooted in fear of displacement. Embracing the precept that "nothing lasts forever" while realizing it's still possible - desired even - to grab hold of possibility, to consider opportunity (even if not acted upon), to live fully, richly. Is it possible and/or wise to have one's cake and eat it, too?
