WW Stuff

EDIT: Yesterday's official WW weigh-in (Monday AM): 201.4, so phew! Thinking I may meet my ODL stated weight (190) goal by the end of the year. If not, then by VDay 2020.

So, while out of town for my bday celebration, my 50 lb pin arrived from Weight Watchers. Heh, highly amusing, as my week away I blew off WW, big-time (-160 weekly pts). So, new goals: get back down under 200 by Monday, 04 November, the WW weigh-in day just shy of my year anniversary of joining the gym and WW (11/09/18). In other words, return to the weight I'd reached just before my bday, since when I've managed to regain nearly 5 lbs ;-)

Next # goal: reach ODL weight (190) by the end of the year (Monday, 30 Dec 2019), or, more realistically, by Monday, 10 Feb 2020 aka by Vday. What I do food-wise around Thanksgiving & Xmas will impact the date I reach this goal greatly.

Still hoping to get a couple more specific hikes in by the end of the year. First, I want to complete the final 3.84 miles of Wildwood Tral by the end of the year, but this'll require the powers that be actually completing the Burnside ped overpass by then, plus a non-totally crappy day for walking it. Secondly, I want to find a decent-weather Friday by the end of the year - or possibly a weekend - to hike the 5-mile Multnomah-Wahkeena loop.

Now that the rain's returned, though, I need to rejigger my weekly program. SIGH. I'd just really figured out the weekly sunny-weather program, too. (Wednesday AM AquaFit - when the best current instructor teaches, a maintenance 2-mile hike (Keil-Dogwood-Wild Cherry-Wildwood Trails loop in Forest Park or Lower Macleay to Stone Cottage & back again), along with a more serious hike (3-8 miles). Yeah, I knew this'd happen, but now the rain's here and I really need to figure it out.

When weather permits, I can hike in Forest Park, and possibly up the Columbia Gorge some. Must needs figure out which trails don't become muddy, slippery messes while/after it rains. (I think Lower Macleay to Stone Cottage will be ok, but need to return and see how it goes after a day or two of rain. I walked it once several years back when I had to shelter under trees for a severe 10-minute downpour, and it wasn't horrible.)

Merely adding in additional Mon or Fri AM AquaFit classes won't suffice. Hmm, mebbe I'll add swimming laps into the mix. I can incrementally add in minutes and/or laps to increase the work-out down the line. Perhaps also some eliptical machine work at the gym. Mebbe 20-30 minutes at a time to start. Okay, what this means is I need to ask for help at the gym on how to use some of the machines. Relatedly, mebbe it's time to enter the podcast world, so I have something to listen to while elipticalling (sp).

Now to make it so!
