Getting Ready to Zoom
Taking off tomorrow for a long weekend (Wed - Mon) up at CopperMoon and thereabouts. Looking forward to spending time w/
lightfoote and
wildwoosi, amongst others, and to spa-time and 3 parties along w/some gardening and/or canoeing, weather permitting. Okay, this visit'll be even more pleasant now! I just checked my biz/official e-mail and got some good tax news!
I just checked my other e-mail account and learned that (a) lotsa folks had issues w/the e-tax thingie (so I don't feel like such a dope!), (b) my tax guy has already calculated & completed all my tax stuff & is mailing me all the stuff tomorrow so it'll be all taken care of well before April 15th. Best of all, (c) I owe nada and my refunds will just go towards this year's estimated tax payments, so I don't think I'll have to deal w/anything 'til next year. Still, I dowanna find a local (Portland, OR) tax person. I would greatly appreciate any recommendations any of you have along such lines!
Whew! A wave of exhaustion hit hard earlier this evening. My throat's also got a bit of a tickle. I've sucked down loads o' Vit-C and'll continue this trend.
Meanwhile, the packing's under control. Although it's not all in the Mobile Hive yet, it's organized - in piles and on lists - to go out first thing in the a.m. Phew!
Tomorrow's the 1st day of my Spring semester volunteering. Once again I'll help out as a classroom aide w/the same Adult Basic Ed/Basic Literacy teacher (and likely at least some of the same students) on Wednesday mornings over at PCC/SE. I look forward to this new semester and seeing how the students progress in their mastery of English literacy skills.
I'm also excited 'bout getting out for lotsa walking/hiking/biking for the All Trails Challenge (ATC) over the next 6 months as I walk all 80 miles of trails in Forest Park in support of and to raise money for the Forest Park Conservancy. So far I've walked 3.84 miles (w/only 76.16 more to go) w/
delerium3, who I hope to do much of the ATC with (as our bizzy schedules permit).
