In my experience wet electronics seems to have this pattern: Stuff gets wet (or damp from being in a cold place, then brought inside. You open it and dry everything off. Turn it on, it works fine. Turn it off, then turn it on again. The power light goes flash, there may be a pop and smoke. The unit is dead. More often than not, dampened electronics seem fire up once or twice before going dead forever.
