Cooking As Self-Care

These days, it's even more important than usual to take care of oneself and not get too scared/irritated/worked up/crazed. Finding that cooking works well for this for me. (Bonus = better on the pocketbook!)

Yesterday's follow up to Monday's successful dinner came out well. In the AM, I stuck a pork roast into the crock-pot with apple juice, liquid smoke, and pink Hawaiian sea salt. Fast-forward to last night, when we had tasty meat slices and steamed broccoli for dinner. The rest (along w/more veggies) will serve as supper tonight, topped w/salsa.
